Health Guarantee

We want our buyers to be thrilled with their new furry family member. With proper care (raised inside a home), quality diet and basic obedience training using the Puppy Culture Method, we guarantee your dog will have a gentle disposition and sweet temperament. If you find that you must rehome a puppy/dog that you purchased from us, for any reason, please contact us first! High Kaliber Ranch Aussies offers lifetime support for all puppies sold.
We Genetic test all of our breeding dogs to make certain that they do not carry the genetically inherited diseases that Australian Shepherds can carry. Although we have already taken our puppies to a vet for a complete physical, your personal vet should evaluate the puppy to have a good “baseline” from the beginning. Therefore, to validate your health guarantee, families MUST take their new puppy to a veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase. Be certain to schedule this first vet appointment, prior to receiving your puppy. If your vet finds your puppy to be in unacceptable health condition, the buyer must notify High Kaliber Ranch Aussies within 3 days of receiving the puppy. The vet must make a statement on letterhead that the puppy is unhealthy and not suitable for purchase, and High Kaliber Ranch Aussies will retake ownership of the puppy and the situation pertaining to the puppy will be dealt with on a case by case basis,(transportation costs, shipping costs, cost of returning puppy, or any veterinary costs are the responsibility of the buyer). If a licensed Vet determines that your dog has a genetic health defect, as outlined above, a statement outlining the defect from the vet needs to be submitted for the health guarantee to be valid. High Kaliber Ranch Aussies reserves the right to have the dog examined by a veterinarian of her choice, at her expense, to verify the dog’s diagnosis. The ownership of the defective puppy/dog must then be transferred back to High Kaliber Ranch Aussies (to be treated or euthanized), Only untreatable, genetic diseases or defects will be considered. Each case is dealt with individually. This guarantee covers genetic diseases that the particular dog was guaranteed to be clear n/n against at the time of purchase based on genetic testing from its parents testing results.

It is necessary to protect your puppy from contagious diseases until an entire series of four vaccines has been given. Your puppy shouldn’t be exposed to other puppies or taken to public places until fully protected by the entire series. At 8 weeks of age, your puppy has had only 2 vaccines, as is the proper vaccine protocol. Until receiving 4 vaccines, your puppy is NOT fully protected against deadly contagious diseases such as Parvovirus and distemper etc. Precaution also needs to be taken at your vet’s office; people take sick animals there! Keep your puppy in the car until the examination, and do not let your puppy touch the floor at the vet’s office. We do NOT guarantee that your puppy won’t catch contagious diseases. Your puppy should NOT receive any additional vaccines until 4 weeks after their initial vaccine. Do NOT allow vet to administer any additional vaccines at the initial appointment!

This health guarantee is contingent upon the owner spaying or neutering the puppy by age 12 months, if purchased with limited "pet only" rights. All new owners are required to keep up to date on vaccinating, worming, and vet care according to the proper protocol established by a licensed vet (not online ordered shots or purchased from a Tractor store). Please keep receipts of the above items to verify conditions were met. If above conditions are met, High Kaliber Ranch Aussies provides a 1 year guarantee that is explicitly for the genetic conditions that the puppy was cleared by through the testing of it’s parents.

ALL puppies are born with parasites and worms, and stress can reactivate dormant parasites; although our puppies receive Pyrantal worming medicine at 2 weeks of age, Fenbendazole at 4, 6 and 8 weeks, and Tolturizuril for 2 days to prevent coccidiosis, they may still have a few parasites that resisted treatment. Your vet should provide a routine worming or fecal test. We do NOT make any real or implied guarantee against normal puppy parasites, such as coccidiosis, giardia, viral or any bacterial infections that puppies can contract (such as ear infections or UTIs, which puppies do contract sometimes).
High Kaliber Ranch Aussies and the breeder will not be held responsable for the death or injury of a puppy due to the negligence or carelessness of any airline or other live animal carrier, its agents or employees, or the buyer.

Any money placed on a puppy, including the depsoit is non-refundable and non-transferable for any reason.
This contract is under the jurisdiction of the state of Nevada. In the event of any dispute, the parties mutually agree that the dispute will be settled under the jurisdiction of Churchill County, Nevada. All parties mutually agree that all lawyer fees shall be paid by the buyer.

Right of Recovery/Placement:
If the Buyer(‘s) are unable or unwilling to keep the dog or provide an appropriate home in accordance with this agreement due to any reason, including the death of the Buyer, the dog will be offered to the Breeder first – in writing. Buyer agrees he/she will not dump, give away, abandon the dog to a shelter, rescue, or any place else, but shall contact the Breeder to assist in acting as agent to re-home the dog in an approved environment.
Upon the event the dog is returned; the Breeder is under no obligation to refund any part of the purchase price. Registration papers (if applicable) will be supplied and signed over to the Breeder upon surrender of the animal, as well as all medical, trial and show (if applicable) records.
